Lighting the path for dementia caregivers
Support, guidance, and clarity for your journey.
Welcome to Caregiver’s Lighthouse
Caregiving is one of the hardest jobs in the world, especially when dementia is part of the journey. Managing the responsibilities of dementia care can feel overwhelming, exhausting, and isolating. But you don't have to do it alone. At Caregiver's Lighthouse, we're here to guide and support you-offering expert advice, practical strategies, and compassionate understanding to help you navigate this journey with confidence.
Working with a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
SLPs hold a Master's degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders and specialize in treating cognitive deficits caused by neurological conditions such as Mild Cognitive Impairment, Traumatic Brain Injury, Stroke, Parkinson's Disease, Multiple System Atrophy, and Dementia. Physicians typically refer patients to SLPs because we are the experts in communication, cognition, and swallowing disorders (dysphagia).
At Caregiver's Lighthouse, we extend this expertise to caregivers, equipping you with the knowledge and strategies needed to improve communication, manage behaviors, ensure safety, and provide the best care possible for your loved one.
